What are the best conditions for displaying my paper prints?

  • For quick cleaning, dust your fine art paper print with a soft dry cloth or a feather duster.
  • Do not display in area with direct sunlight to keep the print from fading over time.
  • Framing the print is highly recommended to protect it from damages.

What are the best conditions for displaying my canvas prints?

Keeping the prints in the right environment will maximize their life.

  • Direct sunlight will cause the colors to fade prematurely.
  • Pollutants such as smoke will also negatively impact the lifespan of the media.
  • Excess humidity may cause molding. Extreme low humidity will cause the wood stretcher frame to shrink which may cause the stretch to be less tight and result in sagging. This effect is temporary and will go away once it returns to a normal humidity range.
  • The lighting conditions also affect how the prints will be viewed. Viewing under different light conditions may affect how the colors are perceived by your eyes.

How long will the canvas last?

The materials we use are guaranteed to last over 100 years.

How do I clean the canvas?

The canvases are quite durable once given our protective coating and should resist most scratches, smudges, fingerprints, etc.

You can dust canvases with a soft, dry cloth. If your canvas needs deeper cleaning you may try a damp cloth but we cannot guarantee or recommend this.

Should the canvas get nicked and loose ink in a certain area, it can be touched up with waterproof felt-tip markers or touch-up paint.

What is the best way to hang the canvas?

Our gallery wrap canvas can be hung directly to the wall without framing. You will receive the canvas print stretched onto a 1.5” wooden bar (stretch bar) and will be ready to hang.

If you prefer a canvas wrap that can be framed you can contact us before placing your order and I will make sure you get a 0.75″ thick option that we recommend if you’re interested in framing your canvas wrap.

Shipping & Delivery

How will the canvas be shipped?

The canvas will be shipped via USPS, FedEx, or UPS.

How are paper prints shipped?

We have 2 ways of packing our paper prints. Any size from 8×10 and below are mailed inside cardboard stay flat envelopes, since the prints being made available through this site are larger than that, they are mailed inside kraft mailing tubes.

We do accommodate flat shipping for larger prints upon request. Please keep in mind that this comes with added charges due to size and weight.

I want to ship my paper prints flat. Is that possible?

Yes, we can accommodate your request. The safest and most affordable way to protect the print from damage during shipping is the mailing tubes but if you prefer your print shipped flat please contact us before placing your order and I can make that option available to you and quote additional charges.

If you’re merely concerned about unrolling the print it’s a very safe and easy process:

Simply remove the print from the tube leaving whatever acid free protective paper it was shipped in (such as tissue paper) over the print side to protect the print and unroll it onto a flat, clean, dry surface.

From here you have two options.

1) Simply put something flat and heavy such as large books on top of the print and come back later. How long will depend on factors like the amount of time it was rolled, temperature conditions while it was rolled, etc., but figure a couple of hours minimum.

Or

2) Simply take the tube it came in and use it to roll the image in the opposite direction (remember to protect the print side with whatever protective paper it came with). Roll the print evenly around the outside of the tube and when you get to the other end, hold the end down for several seconds (or a minute if you have the patience). When you unroll the print, if it’s not as flat as you would like you can just roll it back again repeating the process until you get the desired flatness.

What are the shipping charges?

I offer free standard shipping within the U.S.

What is the shipping time?

Standard production time is 2-3 business days. After the print is ready to ship, I use the most cost effective standard shipping at the time between UPS, Fed Ex, or USPS so please allow 6-10 business days for free shipping.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we currently have options available for international shipping with USPS. Please note that USPS charges the recipient with the customs tax.

Feel free to contact us and let us know where you need the print delivered and I will gladly look into if we can deliver to your location or not.
